Eurochocolate is the the biggest chocolate celebration in Europe and of course the most important event dedicated to chocolate in Italy. it takes place every year in Perugia, Umbria region, in October.
The sweetest festival was an idea of Eugenio Guarducci: visiting the Munich’ Oktoberfest during the ‘80s he thought “Why not a festival like this in Perugia?”. Back in town, he decide to change the theme: not a beer festival, but a great occasion to taste an excellent product of his own homeland: chocolate. It happens in the 1994.
Chocolate sculptures, food stands, shows and many events will animate Perugia’s streets during the festival. During the sweet festival, talented sculptors transform huge blocks of chocolate in delicious and original works of art, strictly inspired by the theme Masterchoc.
Think of a flavor-any sweet or savory memory of deliciousness-and you will find it at Eurochocolate. Enjoy the regular vanilla and chocolate but also feast your eyes (and your tastebuds) with hazelnut, mint, cherry, orange, caramel, coconut, and many more.
Get your chocolate in the regular bar variety or try some chocolate liquor, hot chocolate, or even a chocolate kebab!
This year there is a great news: all people are invited to see the biggest chocolate mustache sculpture Guinness World Record!
